The right to good food, clean water & health care
Introduction
Why are some children so hungry, while others eat so much? When you want to have something sweet, you just walk to the fridge. Every child has a right to healthy food and clean drinking water. Every child should grow up healthy in a safe environment. Adults should make sure that a child gets help when they feel ill. For some of us, it seems so normal.
But that’s not the case everywhere; why can’t adults take better care? There is more than enough for everyone; why can’t we share it fairly?
Topic 1
There is a saying that goes, "A picture says more than a thousand words." Sometimes there are difficult situations in the world you can write many pages about .... the question is whether they are read and if the message gets across. In newspapers and magazines cartoons are often used to make an injustice more clear. We ask you to make a cartoon that shows that the 'right to food and water and good health care' is not always obvious in your area. On the website www.cartoonmovement.com you can upload your own drawing or cartoon. Cartoonists around the world will see your drawing and can make their own interpretation. How that works, you can see on this video:

Step 1: We ask you to draw a cartoon that expresses that the right to food, water and good health care is not always obvious. Even in your own country, some people might live in poverty. They are, for instance, depending on the food bank to get their food. Upload your sketches and drawings on your challenge 1 school page; you will find the link to your school page at the bottom of this page. Step 2: Choose a few drawings with your group that will be uploaded on the website Cartoonmovement. --> If you still have your account from last year, login here. --> if you don't have an account yet, please create one here. Step 3: Once you are logged in, upload your files by clicking on the ‘Pitch’ button or via this link: http://www.cartoonmovement.com/pitch --> Now select ‘Children’s Rights' in the upper field.

The students of 'The Prisma' School in Arnhem, Netherlands, made a film during the Lot 2013 Pilot to show how easily you can get medical attention in The Netherlands.

In some countries, everyone is well insured with a free basic health insurance. Health care in every country is not always free or compulsory. How can a family pay for health care in your country?
Once you have collected background information about health care in your own hometown, we ask your group to interview five people that work in the health care sector.
Interview:You may design the interview all by yourself and present it in the wiki in the way you like best. In the interview at least pay attention to the following topics:
