The right to education and protection against child labour.

Topic 1:

Sophie, Lise & Liliang (1D)

1.Why do many children not attend school? Isn’t it a fact that all children have the right to education?

Children don’t attend school because they don’t want to, but they’re not aloud. Child labour mostly happens in poor countries, which makes the children work instead of their parents. Most parents would help as well, but some have sickness or have an old age.

2.What is the Children's Right for 'education' and for 'protection against child labour'?

Those rights both consist that children don’t have to work. The only place they should be working is at school.

3.Do you feel that you 'have to go' to school or 'may go' to school?

Yes, the most of us thought we have to go to school. But we realize that the most children that don’t go to school are desperate for a chance to go to school. Now we think we should be grateful to be able to go to school.

4.When is work that children do 'child labour' and when is it, 'to earn something extra'?

‘Child labour’ is when children have to work while they should be doing something at school. ‘To earn something extra’ is when you do something because you want it.

5.Every child has the right to go to school. What do you think? Do all the children go to school in your country? What about your own city or town? If some children in your city/town/country do not go to school , what prevents them from doing so? How  can these challenges be changed?

We All think that every child should go to school. Unfortunately not every child in the Netherlands goes to school. Not because they’re not allowed to, but because they’re probably sick or they have a handicap.

6.What would the world be like if kids could choose for themselves the right to go to school or the right to work?

The world would definitely be a better place. The most people would be happier.

Topic 2:

Sander, Rick and Julius

The kids rights was won by Neha Gupta (18 years old).she is Indian origin, but she was born in New-Zealand. She lives in the United States,  Philadelphia. She got the price for her help with the rights of vulnerable children and inspiring other children also take action. She won the price on 18/11/2014

We think the right to education and information is the most important one for us, because of that right everybody can go to school.

Neha Gupta saw that many children can’t go to school and when she saw this things she can explain it very well to other children and other people.
