Completion - Group assignment - Anton Resida Mulo

Hello everyone

We have chosen to create a new children's law.

The last time we have learned many things in the educational Learning Circle.

It was fun to learn to work with the kids from the classroom to the fun tasks relating to the various children’s rights.

We also liked to try new things with respect to the children .

The new children's right that we have chosen is : "Gender equality "

We have chosen this child right for the following reasons :

We did a little research on the students themselves , which we have chosen this child right .

On Thursday, May 28th Anton Resida school has an info day organized.

This info day was provided by Mr. Henry L. Mac -Donald.

Below is a map with the data from this gentleman.

During the information day , Mr. Henry Mac - Donald told about gender equality and that has inspired us to choose this right as children's rights .

It was nice that Mrs. Betty Burgos was in too

Much remains to be done on gender equality in our country.

Below is a group photo of that info day .

It is not uncommon that a distinction is made between girls and boys work.

In "some families" still it happens that the boys (sons) are worshiped and the girls (daughters) not so much. The boys may for instance go anywhere and girls not.

The girls must often help the mother in the household and kitchen.

This discrimination starts from childhood and growing until we become adults.

We demand that the same rules should apply to both boys and girls, man and women.

This children's rights can be a success if everyone is made aware about parity of esteem between boy and girl, man and women.

A very simple example:  - Why can not a woman be president of our country ?

                           - Why Are there so few women in the parliament of our country?

About fifty percent of our population are women.

It is important to make women aware of the importance of their participation in politics and other decision-making processes or in a country.

For example:

Fair opportunities for women as candidates in national elections on DNA , DR and RR level.

Silent and remain silent can make that soon we go from one to zero female ministers from ten to three percent in parliament.

Women, hope springs eternal ...

Some countries where there is a female president in power:

- Sri Lanka: Chandrika Kumartunga (1994-2005)

- India : Pratibha Patil (2007-2012)

- Israel: Dalia Itzik (2007)

- Guyana : Janet Jaggan (1997-1999)

-Chil: Michille Bachelet ( 2006-2010, 2014 till now)
